2016 DCS Reunion
San Antonio!
November 4–6
La Quinta Inn & Suites Riverwalk
Note: The deadline for reunion registration has now passed. We thank all of you who are joining us.
This year marks our first venture to the Lone Star State. At the business meeting last fall in Albuquerque, attendees approved San Antonio. We chose the first week in November in order to obtain the best room rate and get past the hurricane season (ya never know!). Even during this later time of year, average daytime temperatures are in the low 70s, making for fun outdoor sightseeing.
Final Attendee List - updated Oct. 21
Along with the Riverwalk, the historical Alamo is within walking distance of our hotel.
Informal activities are planned for Thursday early arrivals. As in years past, our welcoming party will take place on Friday evening, followed Saturday morning by the annual business meeting. A memorable Saturday night dinner is already in the planning stage, including a special video presentation.
Returning this year:
Complimentary beer and wine in the hospitality suite!!!!
Thanks to revenues received from the generous matching fund, there will be some other nice upgrades to our function as well.

Ground Transportation
We always strive for the best reunion locations within a particular city. This year, downtown was the obvious choice as you will discover in November. Nearly everything to do and see his within walking distance of the hotel. The downside is transportation to and from the airport. None of the city hotels offer shuttle service, and parking is pricey, although the hotel offers our attendees a discounted rate of $14 per day, plus tax. However, a little advance planning can minimize the pain. In addition to such alternatives as Uber and Lyft, there are two choices:
Checker Taxi: 1-4 occupants: $29 each way plus tip.
Go Airport Shuttle: Buses depart every 25-30 minutes. Go to the ticket booth in baggage claim for this service. $19 per person, $34 roundtrip.
